ATZUM’s team of dedicated student and professional volunteers take direct action to make a real difference in Israel.
ATZUM reaches into the community to develop different groups of volunteers, including high school students, Israeli university students and students from abroad, veteran and new immigrants, yeshiva students, and other interested individuals. The volunteers receive frequent training and supervision from ATZUM staff members to facilitate their work with survivors of terror, righteous gentiles, and the campaign against human trafficking in Israel.
Current volunteering opportunities include:
Righteous Among the Nations
- Weekly / bi-weekly home visits with Righteous Among the Nations (Languages: Hebrew, Russian, Polish, Bulgarian, French, Romanian)
- Distributing flowers and cards to local rescuers
- Driving rescuers to ceremonies and events.
- Translations: Hebrew, English and Russian
- Transcribing filmed interviews with Righteous Among the Nations in Hebrew, Russian, Polish and Bulgarian
- Editing filmed interviews with Righteous Among the Nations
- Making presents (crafts, knitted scarves, artwork etc.) for distribution during home visits
- Writing cards to be sent before holidays and birthdays
